About the Artwork
Lobster is a unique tufted textile artwork inspired, like most of my work, by the beauty found in nature and in everyday life. The lobster becomes a playful and tactile interpretation of something familiar, transformed into a unique handmade piece.
The artwork was created using two different types of wool in two colors. The lobster’s antennae were also handmade by me, adding an extra layer of texture and dimension to the piece.
Every part of the artwork was made entirely by me, from the initial drawing to the tufting and finishing details. The artwork is backed with wood and includes a cord on the back, making it easy to hang directly on the wall.
As this piece is entirely handmade, subtle variations in colour, texture, fibre length and finish are to be expected. These natural irregularities are an inherent part of the tufting process and contribute to the individuality and character of the artwork.
A Truly Unique Piece
I never make the same artwork twice. I draw each design directly onto the canvas and allow every piece to become its own organic original creation. Because of this process, my artwork cannot be replicated.
The person who brings this artwork into their home will therefore own a truly unique piece: an original work made entirely by hand, with no identical version ♥️.
